LIMO MOTORS TO BLACKSTONE SUCCESS

Watch The Limo seized his opportunity to claim the €2,000 on offer in the final of the Blackstone Kennels A2 525 at Kilkenny on Friday night.

Bogger Dusty was a red-hot favourite from trap five but, for the first time in four starts, he failed to set the pace into the corner.

Instead, Johnnys Gem broke fast, cutting for the inside in the process. It saw Watch The Limo left tight of room and take a couple of bumps. At the same time, Bogger Dusty was starting to advance after a slightly slower start than normal.

Despite taking the early bumps, Watch The Limo drove up the fence on the corner to take over, building a two and a half length advantage into the back straight.

The Michael O’Donovan trained son of Droopys Sydney and Limini really seized his opportunity, building a clear advantage to the third turn. Bogger Dusty recovered well after opening bend traffic to move second but there was no stopping the Paul Reid and Paul Horig owned Watch The Limo.

The progressive July ’21 whelp went on to secure a comfortable success by three and a half lengths in 29.07. Bogger Dusty was second with Foyle Amy staying on well to take third, a further length adrift.
