PEACOCK AND DUSTY FLY HIGH AT KILKENNY

PEACOCK AND DUSTY FLY HIGH AT KILKENNY

Ian Fortune

Ahead of tonight’s Con & Annie Kirby Memorial semi-finals, Liam Peacock had a timely bonus at Kilkenny on Friday evening with his Bogger Dusty setting a strong standard in the second round of the Blackstone Kennels A2 525.

Peacock, who has Bogger Lucky running at Limerick this evening, will be hoping his charge can dominate like his kennel companion Bogger Dusty. The son of Droopys Biker and Mustang Swift was razor-sharp in the second heat, leaving his rivals chasing shadows before coming home seven and a half lengths clear of Foyle Amy in 28.92. Kilgraney Saint was another three parts of a length adrift in third.

WARRIOR GETS LOOSE EARLY

Kapuka Warrior was next fastest, when leading before the turn in the final heat.

Trained by Karol Ramsbottom for Matt Dunne, the son of Good News and Cruel Intentions was headed at traps by Knockdrinna Celt but flew into the turn to assert.

Once gong to the front he quickly put the result beyond any doubt, easing on to eventually beat Johnnys Gem by four and a half lengths in 29.14. Ballygur Benny was third, a half lengths further back.

ROSIE TOO STRONG

The opening heat saw Random Rosie score for Bernadette Manogue, despite sitting only third into the turn.

Watch The Limo moved to the front down the back straight but his fate was sealed when Random Rosie moved second into the third turn.

Staying on strongly. Random Rosie (Droopys Jet/ Deadly Robin) collared Watch The Limo in the final yards to win by a neck in 29.34. Vicarshill Boy was another three and a half lengths away.
