MARIE IN SEASON AND MISSES OAKS

Recent Cork Oaks champion and 2022 Boylesports Irish Derby finalist Maries Wedding has been reported in season and will sadly miss the upcoming Sporting Press Irish Oaks for which she would have been amongst the favourites for outright glory.

Michael Butler passed on the disappointing news earlier in the week but did have some better news. He reports that there are four bitches in season at his base including his superb brood Ballymac Petsy, the dam of Maries Wedding, Derby runner-up Ballymac Finn and the hugely exciting puppy Boylesports Dazl.

She is scheduled to be mated with Ballyhimikin Jet and Michael will no doubt be fielding plenty of phone calls when she has her pups.
