A WEEK TO REMEMBER FOR YOUNG GEAROID GEARY

IT was a week to remember for young Gearoid Geary and all the Geary family at Youghal Greyhound Stadium.

Young Gearoid (Pic right) with Caireal Max and Caireal Malachi, he trained both to win in Youghal over the last week.

has been a huge help to his grandfather, Ger Geary, over the last number of years and in recent times, he has built a couple of kennels at home. Over the last week or so, the Geary's have enjoyed four winners with a famous treble on Wednesday night.
Speaking to Gearoid's dad, Alan, he said: "I have never seen a fella so happy. I carried him up the road up the road on my shoulders and he was roaring like it was an All Ireland Final. It really was a night to remember."
Two of the four winners are at home with Gearoid and he's up every morning looking after them before he sets off for school. I'm told he has beautiful kennels and no doubt, there will be many more winners to come. All at Youghal track are delighted for Gearoid and the Geary family.

Piece from the Echo newspaper below:
Young handler Gearoid Geary enjoyed a night to remember in Youghal on Wednesday night as he sent out three winners for the Geary family, Gortroe.
Even-money favourite Ashville Gold recorded back-to-back winning performances in the opener for Ger Geary. A 29.64 winning run from the improving October puppy. (A8).
The Geary family doubled up after Ashville Blueboy (10-3) ran away with the ninth of the night, an A6 contest. The improving September puppy pulled right away late on, clocking 29.43 in the A6, for Margaret Geary.
The night got even better after the front running winning display of Caireal Maz in race number 10, an A7 contest. Out of luck in three previous attempts, the 6-1 shot made all to win for Gearoid Geary, in 29.70.
