SHELBOURNE 600 THIRD SANTY JOINS CAHILL

SHELBOURNE 600 THIRD SANTY JOINS CAHILL

Ian Fortune

After producing a stunning career best effort in third in the Shelbourne Open 600, Kilkenny Santy was always going to attract potential buyers.

Word came through on Thursday that Brian Hickey’s powerful son of Kilkenny Desmond and Lemon Isabella has indeed been sold and he will now ply his trade across the water after joining the kennels of Seamus Cahill.

Given his running style and very evident power, he is joining the right kennel. Seamus Cahill is attached to Hove and Kilkenny Santy looks absolutely made for the coastal track. Just don’t be surprised if he turns into a really talented stayer for Cahill and we could be hearing plenty more of the December ’19 whelp in the coming months.
