TULLIG CYRNAME made it the perfect six from six in Friday night's second semi-final of the Lee Strand at Tralee.

Trained by Pat Buckley for Morty and Patrick Ahern, the 4-6 favourite was second-best early as Ballymac Harvey took them along up front. Hitting the front before the third corner, the exciting young talent then raced away for a comfortable success, coming home nine lengths clear of Saleen Lucas, in 29.78. A short head back to Killeacle Paula in third.

BALLYROYAL ON TOP

Ballyroyal Gatti took the opening semi final for trainer John Kelliher and owner Darragh Sheehan.

A 9-2 shot in the betting ring, the winner shot to the front before halfway, showing plenty of pace, he quickly moved a few lengths clear. Trowmedownsumtin ran on well for second, a length down at the winning line, in 29.96. Half a length back to Millridge Jayden in third.

FIVE FROM FIVE FOR COOLBOY

A recent winner of the John & Mary Killeacle Dowling Memorial, Coolboy Rusty recorded five straight wins in the tenth, an AA0.

Owned and trained by Eric Prestage, the 6-1 shot exploded from traps to lead a strong field of runners early. After a slow start, favourite One Time Only was in early trouble, but the one up front was flying along at the head of affairs. Strong throughout, the impressive winner delivered another stunning performance, clocking 28.18 and coming home two lengths clear of Loher Ron.
