The Michael O’Donovan trained Coolavanny Calvn went fastest of those to trial ahead of racing at Towcester on Sunday afternoon.
The talented tracker, who has reportedly come in for sustained support in the ante-post market with sponsors Star Sports, posted a fast 29.18 off a moderate 4.27 sectional. It was a very encouraging run and one that would suggest he has taken to the Northamptonshire venue.
The only other Irish runner to trial ahead of racing was Bockos Leah. The brilliant daughter of Kinloch Brae is on the comeback trail after being in season but she would have pleased Graham Holland as she posted a useful 15.85 for the 270m trip.
