Kilkenny ran another successful sale last Saturday, July 20th. There were bids on each and every greyhound in the sale resulting in a clearance rate of 94%.
Lemon Orla topped the sale, fetching an impressive €3,700. The Sept 22 unraced daughter of Jacob Tashadelek and Foyle Lucy displayed plenty of pace to put her rivals to the sword and score in an impressive 29.45.
Kilcash Jacob (Jacob Tashadelek/ Kilcash Toto), a recent novice winner around Kilkenny in 29.42, won his sales trial in 29.27 and was later sold for €3,300.
Race winner Knockroe Rose (Ballymac Best/ Rosmult Racer) won her trial in 29.35 and was sold for €2,450. Galileo Wines displayed big early speed to win his trial in 29.39. he was already a race winner in 29.13 around NWB and made €2,000 on the bench.
The unraced Lacken Flyer also displayed plenty of pace to win her sales trial in 29.45. This Jan ‘23 daughter of Burgess Bucks and Lacken Bluebell was sold for €1,850. Another bitch, Colla Debs, set the fastest sectional (4.21) on the day. By prolific sire Ballymac Best, the Feb ‘23 pup made all in her trial to win in 29.53 and was later sold for €1,900.
Other notable sales include Ballysloe Simba (€1,400), Knockroe Pearl (€1,500), Import Duty (€1,300), Tinryland Pyro (€1,050) and Chantilly Lad (€1,200). Kilkenny’s next sale is set for Saturday, September 28th.
