The Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the positions of Ordinary Member to the Board of Rásaíocht Con Éireann.
This vacancy is required to be filled by a Veterinary Practitioner.
Essential
Candidates wishing to apply must demonstrate in their application evidence of experience at the appropriately senior level in the following areas:
- Be a veterinary practitioner of at least five years’ experience and eligible for registration with the Veterinary Council of Ireland.
- Evidence of an understanding of the regulation of veterinary medicines and prohibited substances and of detection methods associated with such regulation.
Desirable
It is also desirable that candidates demonstrate evidence of experience in the following:
- Knowledge of doping and medication controls in the industry and the welfare of greyhounds.
