WARM WEATHER UPDATE – THURSDAY 19TH JUNE

RCÉ met this afternoon to review the current weather forecast and its impact on racing and trial schedules. In line with the current weather forecast issued by Met Eireann for Friday 20TH June, RCÉ wishes to advise of the following:
Friday afternoon’s SIS Race Meeting in Mullingar Greyhound Stadium has been cancelled
All other activity, including trials, has been cancelled on Friday 20th June between 12 Midday and 6pm
RCÉ have scheduled a further meeting on Friday morning to review the ongoing weather forecast and any further updates will be issued following this.
Owners and trainers are asked to mindful of these updates and if in doubt please check prior to travelling.
Arrangements are in place at tracks to ensure that additional water points including greyhound baths are made available.
Owners and trainers are reminded of the importance of good ventilation in transportation arrangements for greyhounds and ensuring that adequate water and other supports are available for all greyhounds.
