TRACK RECORD RUN FROM DALEROAD DUKE IN THE KINGDOM

    Barry Drake

Daleroad Duke (Good News-Burgess Sarah), trained by Patrick Guilfoyle for owner Thomas O’Keeffe, delivered a sensational performance in the Kingdom on Friday night as the super talented tracker put on a stunning 27.85 track record winning run.

A winner of the Champion Stakes last year, Daleroad Duke was returning to his very best form here. After producing a flying start to lead, it was a clear he was on for a huge run heading down the back straight.

Showing massive gears throughout, the classy performer stayed on powerfully to land the spoils. A magnificent winning run, nine and a half lengths clear of Fire Height Kane in the opening semi final of the K.G.O.B.A AA0 Stakes. Duke previously set the record when clocking 27.92 back in 2023

    EXPLOSIVE START

In the second semi final, Jim By Two (Droopys Sydney-Livz Dream) ran out a smart winner for trainer Brendan Maunsell and owners Noel Griffin and Peter Kelly.

An explosive start took the 5-1 winner to an early lead and from there, he always looked good. Another top class display, clocking 28.18 and coming home three and a half lengths clear of Saleen Mateo.
