Peter Farrell

With the Con & Annie Kirby Memorial now concluded for 2023, attention will now turn to the 2023 National Produce Stakes at Clonmel Greyhound Stadium and the Classic renewal will carry a brilliant winner’s purse of €20,000.

The prestigious Juvenile Classic is just three weeks away and this year’s event will carry new sponsorship. Of course, the National Produce Stakes was very kindly sponsored by Larry O’Rourke for the past number running’s but this year, the Thatch Bar & Restaurant of Lisselton in County Kerry have generously stepped in.

The opening round of The Thatch Bar & Restaurant National Produce Stakes is scheduled to get underway on the June Bank holiday weekend and with that in mind, the Suirside track will be running a number of Trial Stakes over the coming weeks.

The trial stakes are due to get underway on Sunday, 21st May and it will give owners and trainers the chance to get their trackers familiarized with their surroundings. The grades for the trial stakes are as shown below so please reach out to Eddie Anderson if you have a suitable entry.
