TIME CLUB A4 DERBY RETURNS FOR 2025 WITH €20,000 PRIZE – A SHOWCASE FOR IRELAND’S TOP A4 GREYHOUNDS

Following its debut in 2024, the Time Club A4 Derby 525yds returns bigger and better in 2025, kicking off on Friday/Saturday, 30th/31st May in Limerick Greyhound Stadium. . With an impressive €20,000 winner’s prize and trophy, this standout A4-only competition is quickly becoming a key fixture in the greyhound racing calendar.

This year’s event will again be for 72 greyhounds (although last year saw a bumper entry with 144 greyhounds going to traps!). The entry fee once again is €50 and backgraders are allowed, but any greyhound clocking under 28.90 seconds in either of the first two rounds will be eliminated. To be eligible, entrants must have run a minimum of three races, regardless of distance or venue.

Derek Frehill, Director of Racing at Rásaíocht Con Éireann (RCÉ), praised the return of the competition, “The Time Club A4 Derby has quickly earned its place on the calendar. It delivers an important opportunity for dogs in the middle grades to compete for top prize money in a highly competitive environment. The strong response in 2024 showed the appetite for this kind of event, and we’re delighted to support its return.”

Entries close on Monday, 26th May at 11:00 AM, and preference will be given to Time Club members.
