TWO FROM TWO FOR EXCITING YOUNG TRACKER MAKE NOISE

Barry Drake

Exciting January puppy MAKE NOISE (Confident Rankin-Tibet) made it the perfect two wins from two career starts in the €700 final of the RCETS APP ON2 unraced stake at Curraheen Park on Saturday night.

In the ownership of Patrick Norris and Mark Lowther, the Patrick Norris trained runner took control of the race from an early stage.

Early in the back straight, Clampett Peggy was within a length, but the leader soon hit top gear. In full flight from halfway, Make Noise piled on the pressure, staying on powerfully, he pulled four lengths clear of Clampett Peggy to the winning line. A superb 28.44 winning performance with both the runner up and the third, Blackrose Tadhg who was half a length behind the second in third, running big races.

BERTIE ON SONG ONCE AGAIN

The other standout performer on the 12-race card was popular local runner Berties Cuddles.

Trained by Kieran Lynch for owners Don and Michael Kelleher, the 1-2 favourite made it back to back wins after impressing on Laurels final night.

Once he led early, the outcome was never in any doubt. Pulling further and further clear, the star tracker delivered a top-class performance in the opening semi-final of the Irish Retired Greyhound Trust A1 550 yard stake. In tough conditions, he clocked a brilliant 29.82, five lengths clear of Bombay Joe. (550).
