Brickhill Yanky has developed quite a reputation for John Collins and Albert Long and June 19’ whelp made it four wins on the spin at Galway last night to extend his unbeaten record.
Trained by Kevin Marmion, Brickhill Yanky has been faultless in all four career starts thus far and last night’s victory took his winning aggregate to over twenty lengths as he continues to show rapid improvement for connections. After winning his debut in 19.19, the son of Droopys Sydney - Rathmeehan May had followed up that victory with 29.05 and 29.03 clocks but it was last night where he was to really excel in what was an A2 525 contest.
Out like a light from trap five, Brickhill Yanky soon put this race to bed within a matter of strides as he opened a three length lead rounding the opening corner. Setting a frantic pace down the back straight, the flying blue extended his lead to six lengths midway down the back as Eileens Best gave chase in second. Maintaining a powerful gallop all the way to the winning line, Brickhill Yanky proved four and a half lengths too strong for Eileens Best as the clock returned a very slick 28.73. Only just turned two years of age, Brickhill Yanky certainly looks to have a big future ahead so keep and eye on the progress of this fellow going forward.
