Join Us in Supporting Mental Health: Purchase a Pin!

Two years ago, the Shelbourne Park Tote Department embarked on a mission to make a difference, designing and launching the sale of a Pride Pins initiative to support mental health. This June, they are expanding the initiative nationwide to raise vital funds for Pieta House, a leading charity dedicated to preventing suicide and self-harm.

The initiative is the brain child of Shelbourne Park Tote Manager Dean Barantez-Cross who along with the Shelbourne Park Tote Operations Manager Linda Lenehan launched the initiative in 2022.  Dean designed the pins to reflect his unique work-place and received huge support from both staff and customers alike at Shelbourne Park, selling out and raising money both years.

The initiative, the brainchild of the Tote Manager Dean Barantez-Cross and supported by the Shelbourne Park Tote team and Greyhound Racing Ireland will aim to raise €5,000 for Pieta House over the month of June. Pins can be purchased from Tote Teams nationwide for €5.00 each. The Shelbourne Park Tote Team launching the sale of the Pins for Pieta House nationwide.

When asked why he took this project on and why he chose Pieta House, Dean said "Mental health is more crucial than ever. Pieta House provides free, professional therapeutic services, ensuring no one faces their darkest moments alone. By purchasing a Pride Pin for just €5, you support these life-saving services, bringing hope and healing to individuals and families across Ireland."

The Goal: They aim to raise €5,000 in June. With your help, they can invest in brighter tomorrows, building communities where mental health is valued and prioritised.

How You Can Help: Simply purchase a Pride Pin at Tote offices in greyhound stadiums nationwide. Spread the word and turn awareness into action.

Together, let's show the power of our Tote community in standing for mental health. Thank you for your support!
