With the 2021 Larry O’Rourke National Produce Stakes now less than three weeks away, Clonmel Greyhound Stadium would like to highlight a fundraising initiative for the venue which will culminate in a ‘Buster’ draw on Produce Stakes Final night, Sunday, June 6th.
The Larry O’Rourke National Produce Stakes is one of the highlights on the Irish greyhound racing calendar and with the Classic fast approaching on Friday, 7th May, the 2021 renewal promises to deliver further top-class action given the wealth of young talent currently on these shores.
That said, it seems an ideal time for Clonmel to announce a major fundraising event which will see all proceeds go towards the upkeep of the Suirview venue in terms of the maintenance required to ensure the high-quality standards long associated with the track are continued. Connections of Clonmel greyhound stadium, therefore, would encourage owners, trainers and supporters alike to contribute to the initiative by purchasing one the 720 tickets on offer at a cost of €20 each.
Indeed, the eventual National Produce Stakes final card on June 6th promises to deliver some spectacular action. In support of the fundraiser, several leading kennels have already pledged support in terms of sponsorship towards some of the planned races on the night. Amongst the contributors are the Ballymac Kennels, the Frightful Flash Kennels and the Riverside Kennels.
In terms of ticket purchasing, due to the current Pandemic, it will not be possible to sell the tickets in such a way that would have been used in normal times. That said, the track is asking anyone interested in purchasing a ticket to send in their payment and contact details, and Clonmel will then reach out to you with a designated number for the big race.
Tickets for the Buster Race are now available at the Track Office. For further information please contact Eddie or Derbhile on 052 6183333 or 052 613334.
