NEW SPONSOR ON-BOARD FOR 2025 NATIONAL PRODUCE STAKES

There was another welcome boost for Irish Greyhound Racing this afternoon with the news that Tom Glynn has come on-board to sponsor the upcoming National Produce Stakes, held annually at Clonmel Greyhound Stadium.

The prestigious Classic, which has been won by greats such as Clares Rocket, Clonbrien Hero, Grangeview Ten, Newinn Taylor and Explosive Boy in the past, is scheduled to commence on Friday, 9th May and it will run under the title of ‘Carrick Aldo @ Stud National Produce Stakes’.

Of course, Carrick Aldo is owned by Tom Glynn and he recently retired after a stellar career, which peaked with him winning the Bar One Racing National Sprint Cup at Dundalk.

Ian Fortune penned a fantastic piece on the David Murray-trained star a couple of weeks back and it can be viewed HERE

The event, won last year by another recently retired star in the shape of Unanimouspanther, boasts a winner’s prize of €20,000 to the winner (subject to filling) and owners and trainers are advised to get their entries in sooner rather than later.
