MINNIE IMPRESSES OVER SIX BENDS

Minnies Kursk produced a fine front-running display to set the standard in the semi finals of the RCÉ Novice 750 at Shelbourne on Tuesday.

George Roche’s daughter of Droopys Cain and Minnies Lantern was chased throughout by Bows Hill Tiger but, after losing ground on the turn, the latter could never get close enough to threaten.

Minnies Kursk, who was having just her fourteenth career start, ran right to the line to score by six lengths in a quick 42.16.

The second heat saw Quizmaster Eddie master long-time leader Plum Tree at the fifth turn before holding off the late charge of Mustang Crystal. In a desperate finish, Quizmaster Eddie, trained by Enda Gethings for the Jacks Are Wild Syndicate, held on by a half length in 42.75.
