Long Isabelle confirmed semi final form to land the €1,500 Upcoming Events A4 525 at Shelbourne Park on Tuesday evening.

A 28.58 winner seven days earlier, James Wade’s daughter of Droopys Jet and Cruel Intentions displayed real drive in the early stages to challenge and pass Crinkill Kicker on the crown of the bend.

Once doing so, the Ann Wade trained bitch never looked under any real pressure. Lodgefield Jason did show fine pace to close, and go second, into the third turn but he was never within touching distance. Instead, Long Isabelle ran right to the line to emerge a comfortable four length winner over Lodgefield Jason in 28.73.

Elsewhere on the card, the final of the €800 Barking Buzz App A4 575 went to David Buckley’s Moonstruck. Relishing the long run to the turn, the Sawn Conway trained daughter of Sidarian Blaze and Droopys Fane flew to the front before putting daylight between herself and her rivals. Glencloy did run a fine race in second, closing on the leader right to the line, but Moonstruck ran out a comfortable length and a half scorer in a fast 31.35.

Fastest run of the night over the standard trip came from the thoroughly likeable Monraud Thunder. Trained by Kieran Morgan for Geraldine McKinney, the son of Droopys Jet and Ardrahan Zindi was dominant from the start. Going further and further clear, she eventually saw off Storys Lala, who did show promise after finding traffic, by fourteen lengths in 28.63.
