Broke With Hope, owned by the Step-Into-My-Office-Syndicate, Bweeng, took the headlines at Youghal greyhound stadium on Monday night as the June son of Kinloch Brae and Boom Time clocked a spectacular 28.79.
Breaking well to lead, the 7-4 market leader was chased hard down the back straight by Kerryroad Butch who was seeking four straight wins. The winner kept finding in front, staying on powerfully, he beat the running-on Rapid Jack, by two lengths, in 28.79. A really top class performance from the winner who was last seen competing well in the Con & Annie Kirby Memorial at Limerick.
Youghal owner Richard Murphy took the tenth, an A4, with the improving Cavies Bullet.
The 5-4 favourite was in front before the opening turn, and he showed huge all-round pace to win. A 29.20 winning effort, five lengths clear of Witches Atlanta.
A SEAVIEW TREBLE
Nicky and Padraig Walsh, Ring, recorded a superb treble.
Seaview Lexi was the first to oblige as the 9-4 second choice of the punters made the most of the drop-in class to take the second, which was an A4 contest. In front before the opening turn, she was always holding Silk Cut Sally. A length the difference, in 29.77.
In the following race, Seaview Misty also made the most of the drop into A5 class. Showing plenty of early zip, the 6-4 market leader raced to a four-length success. Stunning Pepper keeping on well for second, in 29.53.
Just like previous winners, Seaview Boss applied front running tactics to win the 11th, an A3, in 29.35. A 5-2 chance in the ring, the July puppy won with plenty to spare.
