BLAKE IN A RUSH WITH SENSATIONAL ALL-THE-WAY WINNING PERFORMANCE IN YOUGHAL

YOUNGSTER Rushome Blake delivered an exceptional performance in last night's second race at Youghal track, an A4.

Owned by the Rushome-Syndicate, Dungarvan, the 6-4 market leader showed sensational early pace to move clear early. Staying on much stronger than last week's winning performance, the June puppy was six and a half lengths clear of Loskeran Serena, in a rapid, 29.18. His huge early pace is sure to be a huge asset to any track. A member of a very smart litter, he is one to follow going forward.

FLYING IN LATTER STAGES

In the closing race, Burgess Puma delivered a stunning debut winning performance.

Owned by Sheila Spillane and JJ Fennelly, Killeagh, the July puppy was most impressive when producing a top class 29.08 winning run. The pace it showed in the latter stages was amazing, pulling clear late on, he crossed the line six and a half lengths clear of Aghadown Words, to win at odds of 4-6.

GUBBINS ON TREBLE FORM

The night itself belonged to Ger Gubbins as the Bartlemy kennel landed a near 66-1 treble.

Hollyhill Tess put on another great performance when getting up in the final stride to win race seven, an A1/A2. Favourite Wagga Maid led early and when she moved four lengths clear, it looked over. However, the 4-1 winner never gave up, gaining throughout the home straight, Tess got up in the final stride to win, by a short head, in 29.26. A superb winning effort.

IN VOGUE
Making the most of the drop-in class and all the running, Hollyhill Vogue impressed when winning race five, an A7.

Owned by Caoimhe Gubbins, the 6-4 market leader proved four lengths too strong for Rings Cheetah, in 29.60.

THREE UP
The treble was completed when Hollyhill Kranky battled extremely hard to win race eight, an A5.

In front in the final strides, the 7-2 winner recorded a 22nd career victory, in 29.80. A fantastic servant for connections.

IN OTHER RACES

Canvas Pip showed plenty of pace when winning race nine, an A6, for Jerry Kelleher, Killeagh. A two-length victory over Mocollop Blaze, in 29.48, for the 2-1 winner.
Only four went to traps for race six, an A7, with Tomahurra Jet winning for Michael O’Callaghan, Carrignavar, in 30.35, at 4-5.
Ballybrien Pogo recorded back to back wins in race four, an A6. Trained by in form trainer Kevin McLean, the 11-4 chance was on top in the closing stages. A length in front of Dunbar Delta, in 30.29.
The McLeans made it a double when Mrs Will put on another smashing performance in race 11, an A3. Taking up the running before the final corner, she then pulled clear, winning in style, at odds of 6-4. There is no stopping the Clonmel kennel of late.
In front before the opening corner, Canvas Lily ran out a convincing winner of race three, an A5. Jerry Kelleher’s 4-1 coming home five lengths clear of Hollyhill Honey, in 29.69.
In the opener, Knockglass Magic made a winning debut. A 5-4 chance, the June puppy made all to win, in 29.64, for Martin Murphy, Ladysbridge.
Choice Exile returned to his very best to win race 10, an A4, for Andrew Lynch, Cappoquin. In control heading down the far side, the 9-4 by winner showed plenty of pace to beat Safari Secret, by three lengths, in 29.17.
