GREYHOUND RACING IRELAND TAKES DELIVERY OF DOG AMBULANCE UTILITY VEHICLE

IGB

Greyhound Racing Ireland has received delivery at Shelbourne Park Greyhound Stadium of the first greyhound ambulance utility vehicle which will assist in the transportation of injured greyhounds from the greyhound track.

The specially adapted “greyhound buggy” further improves the care and welfare arrangements in place at Shelbourne Park Greyhound Stadium.  The delivery of the vehicle to Shelbourne Park is part of an overall phased delivery of utility vehicles to other greyhound stadia nationwide.

Pictured at Shelbourne Park checking out the new vehicle were Damian Matthews (Chairman of the Irish Greyhound Owners & Breeders Federation) and Marie Gilbert (who had the honour of training the first winner when racing resumed last Friday night).
