A total of 10 Irish trained greyhounds from a possible 15 qualified from the third round of the Star Sports/ TRC English Greyhound Derby over the weekend with 5 of the 8 heats going to the raiding party.
To highlight the brilliance of the Irish, the five fastest heat winners were all trained on these shores. Honour of going fastest went to Sole Mio as he took the final heat in 28.64, while the remaining heats winners were Bubbly Charger, Bockos Diamond, Singalong Molly and, of course, the defending champion De Lahdedah.
