GOVERNMENT DECISION REGARDING LEVEL 3 – LIVING WITH COVID-19

With effect from midnight tonight (Tuesday 6th October 2020) the country moves to Level 3 restrictions under the government’s plan, Recovery & Resilience – Living with Covid-19.

Rásaíocht Con Éireann / Greyhound Racing Ireland will apply Level 3 restrictions to all racing activities with effect from Wednesday 7th October 2020.  The following therefore will apply:

  • - Racing will be conducted behind closed doors with no general admissions being permitted.
  • - A strict ‘one person, one dog’ policy will apply.
  • - Trial sessions will continue subject to strict management of numbers attending.
  • - No access will be permitted to stadia at any location.
  • - Restaurant facilities will not be operational.
  • - Tote and bookmaker facilities will not be available with the exception of SIS meetings where required.
  • - Greyhound sales events will not be scheduled while the Level 3 restrictions apply.

The co-operation of all ensuring continued full compliance with all Covid-19 protocols is critical at the present time and all parties are asked to co-operate fully with any instructions of staff or other authorised personnel.
