Take a moment, glance through the second round draw and appreciate the incredible quality that remains in the Ladbrokes Easter Cup.

It’s a truly special competition and each of the four second round heats would be worthy of any classic decider.

Following his fastest of the round victory on Saturday, Great Name That has been handed a very tough test next weekend. He will race from two in the third heat and must take on kennel companion Ballymac Ariel, the exceptional Billys Diva and the early paced duo of Newinn Sheedy and Minglers Popeye. Drumdoit Bermuda may well starts the rank outsider but he ran a big race in the opening round and is arguably the best drawn dog in the race in the stripes.

Epic Hero and Ballymac Kingdom clash for the second week running in Heat 2. In contrast to Saturday, Ballymac Kingdom has a tough draw in five and he will need to be at his sharpest in the opening yards. Epic Hero races from three while his kennel companion Pierno races from two. Throw in the likes of Golden Tiger, Boylesportsbingo and Glenlara Mac and anything could happen.

The opening heat features a number of big names including Newinn Session, Glengar Bale and Knocknaboul Syd, while cases can also be made for Beach Avenue, Hello Mikey and Amazing Champ.

The final heat sees the clash of opening round heat winners Native Maestro and Auxerre. Both will need to be at their very best, however, with Ballymac Wild expected to come on for his latest run and ideally housed in three.
