There were three finals up for decision at Shelbourne Park on Friday night and each was won in impressive fashion.
Michael and Brian Nash’s Lamrock Ace started the ball rolling in the final of the Barking Buzz A3 NB 525, stepping up on his previous form to win in a sizzling 28.42.
The Karol Ramsbottom trained son of Ballymac Cashout and Pennys Baccata was sharpest at trap rise and he quickly emerged as the one to beat. Despite moving wide on the bend, he continued to make every yard for a three and a half length success over Esmonde Champ.
DELICATE BLASTS AWAY HER RIVALS
Delicate Lass was brilliant in the final of the Upcoming Corn Cuchulainn Novice 750 decider, showing real pace and strength to emerge a facile winner for Mark Kennedy.
Third in the opening exchanges, she was forced to check her stride into the third turn and would enter the back straight in fourth.
It was only a small setback, however. Moving through the gears into the fifth turn, she flew up the fence to go second before taking over between the last two bends. From there, the daughter of Ballymac Cashout and Hugh Dream was in a league of her own, powering clear to eventually win by seven lengths in a fast 41.70 from long-time pace-setter Attykitt Bonanza.
CHICO TAKES HIS CHANCE
Bounceback Chico was in the right position at the right time in the final of the Shelbourne Museum A2 Dual Dist 575/600 for owners Anthony Kehoe and William Byrne.
The strong running son of Wolfe and Jaytee Jordan was prominent into the turn before being left clear from an ideal draw on the fence.
Once avoiding the traffic on his outer, he entered the back straight in clear daylight and he would maintain a strong gallop throughout to hold the late charge of Lossiemouth by a length in 32.89 for the 600yd trip.
