Catunda Thor produced the standout performance at Shelbourne Park on Friday night, racing clear of his rivals to win the A3 seventh race by a street.

Michael Byrne’s son of Skywalker Farloe and Catunda Kim was simply different class to his rivals as he raced clear from the early yards.

The track didn’t seem to be racing as quick as seven days earlier but he still managed to post a rapid 28.74, as he saw off Da Vinci Nidge by over eleven lengths.

To put the run into perspective, the next fastest time came from Skyblues Joe as he dominated in the fifth race, initiating a double for Paul Hennessy. Always in charge Skyblues Joe came home two lengths to the good in 28.98.

In the following contest, Priceless Squire got up in the closing strides to win by a short head and complete the Hennessy double. Priceless Squire saw off Razldazl Mya in 29.24.

Monbeg Bakayoko clocked 29.00 as he returned to winning ways for Eamonn Doyle in the ninth race. Repelling the back straight challenge of Racecourse Mine, Monbeg Bakayoko went on to see off his rival by almost seven lengths in 29.00.

Grove Bob clocked an identical time in the second race when making every inch. Trained by Liam O’Rourke for Ryan Timmins and David McDonagh, Grove Bob raced to a comfortable six length victory in 29.00.
