There were three stand out performances of note on last night’s Clonmel card and they both hailed from the kennel of Graham Holland as Silverhill Karen, Newinn Squeeze and Romantic Rachel all dipped under twenty-nine seconds.

Silverhill Karen is a daughter of ‘Ballymac Eske - Silverhill Joyce’ and this litter has already shown promise with litter sister Silverhill Ally clocking 28.56 at Newbridge in just her second start. Looking like she boasts just as much speed, Silverhill Karen made light work of her novice event last night as she ran out a most impressive six length winner. Fast away from trap three, the Eugene Buckley owned bitch had some six lengths to make up on the early paced Emers Sally but she took off at the 300 yard mark to barge her way through at the penultimate turn. Staying on strongly thereafter, the talented bitch passed the lollipop in a flash time of 28.80. Hailing from the Tina Marina line, the sky's the limit for this talented sort and she is certainly one that should be going into the notebook going forward.

Another well bred sort sealed the double for Graham Holland as Newinn Squeeze broke her maiden tag at the third time asking.

Clona Blaze, Calzaghe Sonic, Newinn Hero, Doolin Duke and Newinn Session are just some of the offspring from Coolavanny Pearl and Newinn Squeeze looks another heading to the top despite a hard fought victory in race ten. Owned by Kevin O’Brien, Newinn Squeeze (Laughil Blake - Coolavanny Pearl) flew from trap five to outpace his rivals to the opening corner. Followed closely by Zoomey Blaze in second, there wasn’t much to separate the duo for the majority of the race thereafter. Just a half a length in them at the line, the time was an encouraging 28.89.

The final race of the evening sealed the hat trick for Graham Holland as Romantic Rachel got back to winning ways in good style.

Owned by the Myles-Family syndicate, Romantic Rachel was winner first time out at Newbridge in a slick 17.62 but has found wins hard to come by since. That changed last night however as the daughter of ‘Deanridge Vixen - Pennys Papaver’ was quickly into stride wearing the red jacket and despite moving right, she showed the superior early gears to lead around the opening bend. Sticking to her guns well down the back, Romantic Rachel stayed on well throughout and claimed a two length victory, in a time of 28.82
