With the start of the Bar One Irish Sprint Cup just a week away Buttsys Bengal will be amongst the favourites for the competition despite his relative inexperience.

The Gerry Holian trained sprinter produced another foot-perfect display on Friday night to bring his record to five wins from five career starts.

The April ’18 son of Pinpoint Maxi and Killeacle Tammy is building quite a card and this latest victory was his best yet. Making a smart start from three, Buttys Bengal held the persistent challenge of Scullys Allstar into the turn before asserting as they turned for home.

Powering up the straight, the well balanced tracker went on to cross the line three lengths to the good in a rapid fastest of the year 21.04.

Fifteen minutes later, Jumeirah Buddy completed a quick double for Gerry Holian as he made every inch to stop the clock in 21.28. The son of Kinloch Brae went on to score by two and three quarters of a length. Droopys Fox was a massive eye-catcher in second. After a moderate start and first bend traffic, the Pat Buckley trained speedster absolutely flew up the straight to grab second on the line.
