There were some superb performances at Shelbourne Park on Friday night with the track certainly running on the lively side.
Eamon Finn’s Da Real Madjack produced a massive run to win a supporting 575yd contest in a sizzling 30.86 (rated. 30 fast) but the feature, the final of the Retired Greyhound Trust A3 Dual Distance, went the way of Knockmant Ali.
Owned jointly by Ronan and Oliver Colgan, the son of Ballymac Bolger and Bull Run Banter was sent off a 5-1 chance but he made light work of his task. Flashing from trap three, the July ’22 whelp made every inch of the running despite the best efforts of the always second Cloverfield Clan. Knockmant Ali captured the €2,000 prize by a length and a half in 31.19.
