Company information and introduction:

Rásaíocht Con Éireann (RCÉ)/Greyhound Racing Ireland (GRI) is a commercial semi-state body responsible for the Promotion and Development of Greyhound Racing in Ireland. We are looking for a PR & Brand Representative to join our team at Greyhound Racing Ireland.

Role Overview:

This position is a key role within the Commercial Department; you will be responsible for developing the company’s brand, establishing its online presence along with overseeing the creation of media releases and content.

Reports to: Chief Commercial Officer

Work Location: Based in Shelbourne Park, Dublin however, Travel will be required between all GRI locations nationwide.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

-  Represent GRI through Live TV/Radio/Media & RPGTV guest appearances.

-  Coordinate all public relations activities.

-  Develop media relations strategies in conjunction with the Chief Commercial Officer.

-  Create content for press releases.

-  Media reporting and evaluation

-  Present at media/launch days and build relationships with the Press that are present.

-  Develop Influencer/Ambassador within GRI to grow brand awareness.

-  Assist with developing campaign strategies and participate in the planning & strategy in the run up to events.

-  Attend all major greyhound competitions and promote across social media channels.

-  Attending exhibitions to promote the industry.

-  Responsible for blogging and generating video content.

-  Build relationships with owners & trainers.

-  Represent the core brand values of Greyhound Racing Ireland

-  Work closely with the Marketing Team and assist when possible.

-  Flexibility in carrying out other role related duties and cover for colleagues as required from time to time.

Hours of Work:

The role is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week and will require flexible hours including some nights and weekends to assist at high profile events nationwide.

Key Skills and Competencies:

Education, Behaviours and Competencies:

-  A minimum of 5 years’ experience in PR and content creation.

-  Ideally educated to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline or profession.

-  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

-  Creativity and the ability to develop original content.

-  Solid experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

-  Event planning experience

-  Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews.

-  Strong leadership qualities.

-  Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
