About Greyhound Racing Ireland (GRI)

Greyhound Racing Ireland (Rásaíocht Con Éireann —RCÉ) is the semi-state body responsible for regulating, developing, and promoting the greyhound racing industry in Ireland. With oversight of 14 licensed stadiums, including nine directly operated venues, GRI is a unique blend of commercial, sporting, and community-focused operations.

As the organisation develops its operations and builds out its people’s function, we are looking for a highly organised and tech-savvy Administrator to play a key role in enabling smooth executive and HR support across the business.

This dynamic administrative role is at the heart of GRI’s day-to-day operations. You will work closely with the Executive Assistant and HR Manager as a key coordination point across meetings, events, HR activities, and internal processes.

The successful candidate will require excellent interpersonal skills, strong IT capabilities, and the ability to juggle priorities, manage confidential information, and ensure a smooth transition across departments.

  • Support the preparation and distribution of Board Agendas and Board Packs.
  • Schedule and support Executive Team meetings, staff meetings, and off-site sessions, including logistics and agenda coordination.
  • Assist in preparing Board papers and executive reports, and track follow-up actions to ensure timely completion.
  • Attend and record minutes at Board and Executive Meetings as required.
  • Oversee corporate information and filing systems, ensuring proper retrieval, storage, and compliance.
  • Serve as Access Officer, ensuring accessibility and adherence to access-related regulations.

HR Administration

  • Assist the HR Manager with onboarding, maintaining employee records, updating HR systems, and coordinating recruitment and induction logistics.
  • Support the planning and organisation of staff training, employee events, and internal communications.

Office & Communications Coordination

  • Coordinate internal calendars, booking systems, shared documents, and office supplies to support smooth HQ operations.
  • Manage internal and external correspondence, including post distribution.
  • Provide event planning support for internal workshops, meetings, and stakeholder events.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance of digital and physical filing systems with GDPR and internal policies.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience & Skills

  • 2+ years’ experience in an administrative role supporting senior leaders or HR/office teams.
  • Advanced IT skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), and familiarity with HR or scheduling systems are a plus.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, events, or team communications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively track and follow up on multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work discreetly with sensitive information and in a confidential manner.
  • Highly organised with a natural ability to prioritise and multitask.
  • Approachable, professional, and trustworthy.
  • A strong communicator who builds positive relationships at all levels.
  • A self-starter with a "can-do" attitude who enjoys supporting others.
