Shelbourne Park say ‘Nǐ hǎo’ for St. Patrick’s Day

Growing the international tourist market for Irish greyhound racing has been a key focus in recent years. The increase in bookings has been very positive and this looks set to increase with an extra Chinese dimension. Orla Strumble and Margaret Sheehan joined the Shelbourne Park team in welcoming a special Chinese tourist delegation for fine dining and live racing. The year 2018 is celebrated as the Chinese Year of the Dog world wide.
The group feedback was very positive for the staff and levels of service at Shelbourne Park. The dinner was covered in two issues of Chinese newspapers by Emerald Media, one of which accompanied Minister for Foreign Affairs, Simon Coveney TD on his St. Patrick’s Day trip. Emerald Media will also be providing the newspaper to all Chinese state agencies.

With such positive feedback, we can expect more Chinese interest in the years ahead.
